Jungu Josh to Reach Albanian Readers with PEN Afrikaans Translation Fund Support
South African author Constant van Graan’s youth novel, Jungu Josh: Die Goue Kalbas (“Jungu Josh and the Golden Calabash”), the first in the Jungu Josh trilogy, has been selected for translation into Albanian through funding from the PEN Afrikaans Translation Fund, in partnership with Albanian publisher Ombra GVG.

This year marks the first time that Jungu Josh is prescribed for primary and secondary schools in Gauteng. Not only are the learners supported by the interactive Jungu Josh website and the Magani dictionary, but there is also an extensive reading guide which the teachers can use to navigate Jungu Josh 1: Die Goue Kalbas.
